		<description>I think you want something like Pushbutton (http://dashes.com/anil/2009/07/the-pushbutton-web-realtime-becomes-real.html). It is still more of a concept than a product, but some of the pieces will make notifications more real time in the future.

Right now I am using Newsbeuter (http://synflood.at/newsbeuter.html) to pull RSS feeds. It&#039;s the Mutt of RSS readers. Of course, I feel like instant RSS notifications are a bit distracting so I only have my client check every half hour.</description>
